Over an 8 week period, 17 November 2019 to 17 January 2020, you contributed to our Council Plan 2017-2021 (Year 4) consultation. During this period we gathered 1,649 written ideas and views through a variety of consultation methods, providing us with valuable feedback on the last 12 months of the Council Plan (Year 3) and your priorities for the next 12 months of the Council Plan (Year 4).
The consultation findings have been collated and are available in the ‘What you said 2020’ consultation report. We are now using this report to draft year four of the Council Plan and we will check back in with you here between April and May to confirm that we got it right!
We thank you for your active participation
and involvement in this program over summer and in the upcoming Public Exhibition period of the Draft Council Plan (2017-2021) Year 4.
The Council Plan sets out the key directions and main objectives to achieve our vision of a green, sustainable and vibrant Banyule for a healthy, connected and inclusive community.
We review and update the Council Plan each year so that we can deliver on our objectives. As part of the review process, we ask the community how satisfied they are with our performance over the past 12 months as well as what they think the priorities should be for the following year. This is a vital part of our review process that ensures what we do meets community needs, remains relevant and responds to the changing circumstances and environment in which we live.
We are now planning for the development of the final year of the 2017-2021 Council Plan and would love to hear from you.
We want to know how well you think we have done in delivering our Council Plan.
See what we said we would do in each area of the Council Plan and then let us know your feedback.
Have your say
Thank you for your feedback. Your comments will help us shape Year 4 of our Council Plan 2017-2021. Feedback has now closed.
Council Plan Framework
There are many areas of work Council undertakes to make Banyule a great place to live, work and play.
To guide our planning for how we do this, we have a Council Plan Strategic Framework 2017-2021. Some of the key features of the framework are the Vision, Objectives and Key Directions.
These features stay the same for the four years the Council Plan covers. What changes each year, are the actions that sit under each of the key directions. These actions are identified based on community consultation, research, data, legislative and policy requirements and key sector influences.
Banyule, a green, sustainable and vibrant place for a healthy, connected and inclusive community.

- Planet - Environmental Sustainability
- Place - Great Places and Spaces

Our Council plan is developed every 4 years and reviewed each year. Check out previous year plans.
